#13. Queen’s Gamble @ $6.50 (neds) – Looking to take on the $1.50 favourite Satin Serenade first-up over 1300m. Queen’s Gamble was only nailed late by a progressive type last start and siding with her race fitness at the better price.
Race 3
#2. United Kingdom @ $16 / $3.30 EW (neds) – Was run off his feet first-up despite trialling well beforehand. Should be much better suited second-up and looks capable of sharp improvement at odds.
Race 4
#4. Scenic Point @ $3.10 (neds) – Showed good ability early before losing her way in Victoria. Now with Joe Pride, her trials have been excellent and the Nash booking is another big positive.
Sandown
Race 2
#9. Zambales @ $1.70 (neds) – Returns after competing at Group 1 level last preparation and finds a significant drop in grade. Trialled superbly leading in and looks very hard to beat.
Ipswich
Race 1
#1. Moscow Mule @ $1.55 (neds) – Has made an excellent start to his career and has been crying out for this trip. Produced the best late splits in his past two and should win with even luck.
Race 3
#1. I Am The Empire @ $3.20 (neds) – Improved out of sight after heading north last start, nearly pinching a stronger Saturday race. Drops in grade and should be very hard to get past on speed despite the big weight.
Race 7
#1. Precise Star @ $2.80 (neds) – Unbeaten in two starts since joining the Gollan stable, including a dominant four-length win last time. Maps on speed, gets a valuable 3kg claim and looks well suited again.
Hobart
Race 1
#5. Thems The Breaks @ $2.40 (neds) – Has been consistently hitting the line and looks ready for the rise back to 2100m. Should be one of the strongest late in a tricky race.
