#1. Plaintiff @ $1.75 (neds) – Unbeaten and looked outstanding first-up with a sharp turn of foot. The rise to 1400m looks ideal and she maps to get every chance.
Race 5
#4. Olympian @ $4.80 (neds) – Very good last start and arguably should have won. Looks well suited rising to 2000m and gets his chance here.
Race 7
#1. Campione D’Italia @ $2.45 (neds) – Has been racing well in stronger company and looks nicely placed stepping to the mile. Hard to beat.
Race 9
#11. Fangirl @ $10 / $3.10 (neds) – Clearly the class runner and well suited back to 1400m on top of the ground. There are a few queries at this stage of her career, but she’s far too good to leave out at the price. Nice EW play.
Mornington
Race 2
#13. Street Artist @ $2.60 (neds) – Dominant winner over this track and trip last prep before proving himself again in stronger company. Has trialled up well and draws to get the perfect run on speed.
Race 3
#7. Actuality @ $2.70 (neds) – Forgive the fresh run on heavy ground when she had no luck at a key stage. Better suited back around a bend on top of the ground and should take catching from the low draw.
Race 7
#4. Berlemont @ $8.50 / $2.80 (neds) – Has been working home well at his last couple and the rise to 1600m looks ideal. Produced one of the better late splits of the meeting last time and appeals EW.
Morphettville
Race 2
#9. It’sanotherbattle @ $3.40 (neds) – Dominant trial winner before running well as a short-priced favourite at Oakbank. Looks better suited if allowed to roll along and the Parks track should suit.
Race 4
#5. Wiltshire Square @ $4.40 (neds) – Comes through strong three-year-old form and her run behind Signature Scent reads well. Blinkers go on and she gets in nicely after the claim.
Race 7
#5. Rohesia @ $2.80 (neds) – Very consistent filly who beat older horses last start over this trip. Draws to get a soft run behind the speed and looks well placed again.
Eagle Farm
Race 1
#3. The Thorncaster @ $3 (neds) – Well beaten on debut but his late work was very good and he produced the best closing sectionals of the race. Looks the type who can improve sharply this prep.
Race 4
#10. Liberty Park @ $8 / $2.60 (neds) – Forgive last start when nothing went right. The run prior was strong, he gets a light weight and the booking of a good rider helps. Would be even better if there’s rain around but still a sound EW play.
Race 6
#11. Now Is The Hour @ $2.15 (neds) – Talented horse resuming and the recent trial was excellent. Likely to roll forward, lead and take plenty of catching.
