Race 2
#8. First Landing @ $15 / $3.80 – Looks like an open Highway so specking First Landing at EW odds. Lovely trial leading into this and has produced good runs in this grade before.
Race 3
#21. Mailata @ $7 – Didn’t mind the run last start and drops back in grade here. Maps for a lovely run from barrier 2 and will be rock hard fit for this.
Race 6
#6. Unlimited @ $17 / $3.80 – Hasn’t had the right runs as of late and didn’t handle the wet at all two back. Should get a great run from barrier 4 and worth an EW speck at the big odds.
Race 8
#13. Yorkshire @ $4.80 –Set to peak here third up and love that he gets back to the home track today. Will only carry the 53kg and pushes forward from the wide barrier.
Pakenham
Race 4
#7. Biancelli @ $2.50– Hit the line well fresh and think getting to the bigger track at Pakenham will suit now. Looks to be a progressive type and can put this field away.
Race 8
#3. Private Eye @ $2.20 – Very well weighted considering his rating and is lapping the opposition when coming to Melbourne. Clearly the best horse in the field and will take a good ride to beat him.
Race 9
#7. Persian Spirit @ $2.15 – Airborne this prep and the wider track will suit today. Ran the best closing splits of the day last start, and will be flying home late.
Race 10
#9. Dirty Grin @ $6.50 – Loved that first up win and will only take improvement from that run. Draws wide but will be running down the middle of the track which should be fine late in the day.
Gawler
Race 4
#9. Torrita @ $5 – Loved that last start run against what looks a smart horse. Gets a smart claim here to carry no weight, and if she can get a good spot on pace early, could be hard to run down.
Race 7
#6. Cash @ $2.10 – All runs to date have been excellent and loved that last trial to suggest this horse is ready to win first up. Should lead this field and be hard to run down.
Race 9
#4. Cielao @ $2.15 – Dominant win last start and can lead this field again to put them away in similar fashion.
Eagle Farm
Race 3
#7. One Day At A Time @ $2.70 – Ran really well in a good race at Flemington first up, and recent trial was excellent. Think she’s clearly the best horse in this race and will take beating.
Race 8
#1. Boomtown Boss @ $2.60 – Flying this prep and has been set for this race for a while. Gets a great run from barrier 6, and gets Maloney back in the saddle who is airborne right now.
