Rosehill
Race 2
#1. Think Like Paddy @ $5.50 – Outclassed last start but drops back in grade here to a highway and ticks a lot of boxes. Draws and maps well, gets a smart claim, and looks a great bet at $5.50 here.
Race 3
#5. Hellbent On You @ $15 – Running super this prep and presents enormous value here at $15. Produced strong closing sectionals last start to suggest the 1400m suits. Just needs to jump with them and not be too far back.
Race 5
#13. Manaajem @ $10 – Getting a lovely price here for a horse I think has more ability than this grade. Trials leading into the first up run were super and she pulled up lame, and also raced on inferior ground. If she can race without issues she is a great bet at this price.
Race 7
#6. Mormona @ $8 – Improving each start this campaign and think this race looks the perfect set up. Peak fitness here, maps well to settle closer in run, and another one with good chance at decent odds.
Race 9
#3. Elamaz @ $4.20 – Brings strong overseas form into this and the trials leading into this have been super. Slight query about first up run at the 2000m, but this stable doesn’t get too many wrong first up with these type of gallopers.
Race 10
#10. Liberty State @ $6 – Couldn’t have been more impressive last start getting caught wide and still putting them to the sword. Gets a comfier run here, unbeaten second up, and think she rounds off the Rosehill card a winner.
Caulfield
Race 3
#7. Illyivy @ $10 – Finally broke her maiden last start but closed off that race well and like her here at $10. Harder race for her, but maps to get a lovely run in transit and pinch this late.
Race 6
#3. The Black Cloud @ $3.80 – Always have to respect Sydney form when they travel to Melbourne and this horse looks vey well placed here. Drops back in grade, gets a 2kg claim, and has the speed to cross these early from the wide barrier and be hard to catch.
Race 7
#7. Talbragar @ $17 – Has form around really good horses that would win this, and think the $17 is an insane price. Third up here at peak fitness, steps up to the 1200m, and maps just off the speed to get a good crack at them.
Eagle Farm
Race 6
#8. Quietness @ $5 – Couldn’t have been more impressive last start for her first run in Aus. The step up to the 2100m is perfect, and draws nicely in barrier 3 to sit just behind the pace. Gets Berry here who is flying and will go close here.
