Race 5
#3. Lyles @ $2 – Running super this prep with 2 wins from 2 starts. Think the step up in distance will suit this horse, and looks to be a progressive type.
Race 6
#16. Burgundy Girl @ $35 / $7 – Been hitting the line well past couple of starts and thought she was a great EW bet at the price. Step up the the 2000m is ideal and will only carry 52kg.
Race 7
#8. Flying For Fun @ $6 – Been running really well this prep without being able to notch a win. Drops back in class here today, will only carry 53kg, and like that she’s drawn low to do no work in transit.
Race 8
#4. Accredited @ $8 / $2.60 – Two excellent runs this prep and think he can go close to winning here, so the EW odds makes it an easy EW bet. Third up 1500m looks perfect, will put himself on pace, and as genuine as they come.
Caulfield
Race 4
#10. Angel In Black @ $27 / $6 – Only just missed last start and think this filly has more ability than the market suggests. Draws low to do no work in run and looks a good EW play.
Race 5
#1. Different Gravy @ $2.20 – Raced a similar field last start and made a mess of them. Draws better here and can sit closer, and the step up in distance looks ideal.
Race 6
#4. Jenni Gone Bonkers @ $1.90 – Ran well in her first prep without getting the chocolates and was dominant first up at Pakenham winning by close to 5L. Will make her own luck on speed and be hard to beat.
Race 10
#13. Persian Spirit @ $4 – Put them to the sword last start in a race set up for the backmarkers, and this race looks like it could be run similar. Progressing nicely this prep and think he’s a strong winning chance again.
Morphettville
Race 2
#8. Tobikko @ $3.50 – Looks to be a smart type and loved the jumpouts leading into this. Does draw wide but think this horse has plenty of ability to overcome.
Race 5
#3. Vintage Star @ $5.50 – Loved those two runs back after the spell and the fact that Jake Toeroek takes the ride here. Maps for the gun run from barrier 2.
Race 8
#13. San Lucido @ $17 / $4.50 – Thought this was a great EW bet. Last two runs have been good, and comes here now only carrying the 52.5kg. Maps for a great run from barrier 3 and could just do something at big odds.
Doomben
Race 5
#10. Galpin @ $3 (PLC) – Fav looks super hard to beat so only having a place bet here. Thought Galpin was excellent first up winning for the new stable and could run a cheeky race here with the light weight.
Race 6
#15. Extreme Diamond @ $10 / $2.40 – Always respect when Sydney form travels to QLD, and should be at peak fitness here 4th up. Draws to sit closer here and think he’s a great EW bet.
Race 8
#1. Cifrado @ $8 / $2.60 – Super run last start in stronger grade than this. Versatile and consistent horse who can handle all conditions, maps for a great run, and another easy bet at the EW odds.
