Race 2
#6. Napoleonic @ $3.30 – Dominant win last start at the short quote albeit it maiden grade. Jmac keeps the steer here, and maps for a lovely run from barrier 4.
Race 6
#1. Brosnan @ $12 / $3.50 – This horse certainly doesn’t win out of turn but think there’s a bit to like here today for an EW bet. Finds dry track, drops back in grade, and gets Nash who can bring the best out of these types of horses.
Balaklava
Race 2
#9. Common Interest @ $2.20 – Lot to like about this horse who has looked promising at the trials and gets a soft draw today. Well bred and think he might have more ability than these.
Race 3
#13. Oakley Miss @ $2.20 – Has the best form out of these racing in stakes grade last prep. First up run was sound and should improve a lot of that.
Race 6
#4. Mercury Eight @ $4.80 – Ran excellent from the wide draw at this track and trip last start. Does have to overcome the wide barrier again, but does have the speed to cross those inside him and be in the finish again.
