Race 4
#8. Samarelle @ $2.90 – Chased home Panova before going to the paddock, which is solid form for a race like this. Has trialled up nicely in readiness and the booking of James McDonald is a big tick. Looks well placed to be right in the finish first-up.
Race 6
#5. Kureder @ $5.50 – Did plenty of work last start stuck wide without cover, which should have taken some sting out of him. Draws much better here, JMac goes on, and the rise to 2400m on dry ground looks a clear positive. Appeals as the value runner.
Sandown
Race 7
#7. Enamorada @ $1.80 – Unbeaten last campaign and everything she’s done in her jump outs suggests she’s come back just as well. Looks a filly with upside and is clearly the one they all have to beat.
Murray Bridge
Race 1
#10. Oui Oui Ma Cherie @ $2 – Came through a stronger race last time and wasn’t far away. Her overall form stacks up nicely against these and with a similar effort, she should take plenty of beating.
Race 2
#10. Miss Slipstream @ $4 – Has the raw ability to win this if she’s ready to go. The break is the query, but if she’s anywhere near her best, she can give this a shake at the price.
Race 8
#5. Eclair Vitality @ $5 – Finished off well last start and this looks another race where the speed should suit his run on style. Gets the right conditions to be charging late again and rates a good play at the odds.
Eagle Farm
Race 4
#7. Cool Moon @ $3.60 – Still a maiden but he’s been knocking on the door being runner-up four times. From the gate he gets his chance to finally put one away.
Race 5
#9. Banxi @ $7 / $2 – Loved the win last start, best part was how he was strong through the line. Steps to 1800m on the big Eagle Farm track which looks ideal, and Thompson jumping on is a genuine tick. Improver who can go right on with it.
