Race 5
#8. Island Dec @ $17 – Failed as fav at Canterbury last start on the Heavy. Can atone on an improving surface. Raced in Group races prior.
#4. Codetta @ $9 – First up and won last prep first up. Started short in all runs last prep and would expect to firm if ready.
Race 6
#3. Furious @ $6 – Third up and ready to win. Well supported first up when unlucky. Just missed last start on the Heavy and can go one better.
#10. Guzumped @ $67 – First up. Thereabouts first up last time beaten 2L. Can surprise at big odds.
Race 7
#13. Smashing Time @ $12 – Second up after an excuse first up. Ran fav in a Listed race second up last prep. Right in this.
#8. Crafty Eagle @ $23 – Was OK first up when slowly away. Was in the market and can improve sharply.
Race 8
#7. Kadavar @ $6 – Great strike rate and getting out to preferred distance now second up. Will improve significantly.
#10. Sir Chartwell @ $26 – Ran a good race in a Group 3 in France last start. Looks to have ability however first up off 272 days not great.
#6. First Light @ $51 – Third up and ready to peak. Had a peak rating fourth run last prep. This race or next run, ratings will spike.
Race 9
#12. Freight Train @ $6 – Mexican staying form is OK. Hard to line up but been running short in the market and can run well.
#8. Cormac T @ $7 – Won last start at Scone and has a good record. Can repeat here.
Race 10
#7. Pajanti @ $11 – Great run first up and been priced off high SP. Can run better than price suggests.
#23. Island Dec @ $28 – Failed as fav at Canterbury last start on the Heavy. Can atone on an improving surface. Raced in Group races prior.
#13. First Person @ $21 – Looking for three in a row and will benefit if track stays in the Heavy range. Having a good prep.
Eagle Farm
Race 1
#8. Anemacore @ $11 – Failed on the Heavy last start and needs a half decent track. If it gets that (Soft or better) I have on top as fav looks chewed up for this prep.
Race 2
#2. Deep Respect @ $10 – Third up off two short SPs. Good barrier and good bet. Really like it here.
#15. Fat Fingers @ $22 – Form good and just missed at the Metro Gold Coast meeting last start. Deep in prep but can be competitive again.
#13. Starry Eyes @ $41 – Running OK at two runs this prep. Won third up last prep and can repeat at massive odds.
Race 7
#10. Joliestar @ $3 – Best horse in the race and just needs an ounce of luck or JMac magic from barrier 13.
#2. Private Eye @ $9.50 – Good horse on his day and can run a race fresh. Think it gets out a tad and will be a bet around the $14 mark.
Caulfield
Race 6
#10. Regal Vow @ $10 – Wide open race but this mare is a winner. Started short first up when placed and failed second up. Can bounce back.
#8. Bermadez @ $41 – Rated well two preps back and can improve sharply off Warrnambool failure first up.
#9. Kettle Hill @ $26 – Taking Sydney form down to Mexico. Runs have been better than price suggests.
#6. Milford @ $53 – OK first up. Ratings two preps ago good enough to win this.
Race 9
#10. Sassy Boom @ $23 – First up. Ran an OK race first up last prep at 13/4. If it does something similar, it can win.
#15. Carbonados @ $35 – Deep into prep but if it shows any sign of early prep form, it can be thereabouts.
