#2. Island Dec @ $4.50 – Drops back sharply in grade here from a race where I loved her closing sectionals. Will relish the wet track and should be coming down the middle of the track which will be the place to be come this time of day.
Warrnambool
Race 3
#4. Rhooky @ $3.80 – Didn’t like any of the raced brigade here so siding with the Simon Wilde first starter. Really liked those jump outs coming into this and this race looks an excellent starting point. The wide barrier is the concern but if he can slot in early with cover I think he gives a great showing.
Race 10
#10. Persian Spirit @ $2.80 – Drops back in grade here after going down narrowly last start at the short quote. Love that he’s stepping up to the 1400 here and is third up ready to peak. Draws barrier 5 to have options but expect to sit just off the speed and have every possible.
Murray Bridge
Race 3
#2. I’m Permissble @ $5 – Loved the way he’s hit the line his past two starts to suggest the step up in distance won’t be an issue here. Should get every possible from barrier 3 and a great bet at $5.
Race 4
#1. Ginger Sinner @ $5 – Finally broke his maiden last start and think he can notch another here in a field that doesn’t look that strong on paper. Draws well in barrier 1 to sit just off the speed and barring any bad luck in traffic, should be in the finish.
