Randwick
Race 1
#3. The Next Episode @ $2.40 (neds) – Strong return when hitting the line late and looks suited stepping up to 1100m. Natural improvement second-up and sets up nicely.
Race 2
#3. Soverato @ $3.90 (neds) – Building well this prep and finished off nicely last start behind Sixties. Back into fillies grade and the rise in trip looks in her favour.
Race 5
#15. Fingers Hunter @ $7 / $2.40 (neds) – Excellent effort last start when runner-up to Chidiac and should relish 1400m. Will be suited if the better ground is wider. Strong each-way play.
Race 7
#6. Joliestar @ $4 (neds) – Two from two this prep and continues to improve. Maps for a soft run again and her first-up win showed she’s come back in great order.
Race 8
#15. Sheza Alibi @ $2 (neds) – Dominant in the Randwick Guineas with a sharp turn of foot. Drops right down in weight and although the draw isn’t ideal, she still looks very hard to beat.
Race 9
#3. Green Spaces @ $3.20 (neds) – Strong lead-in run when runner-up in the Rosehill Guineas. Looks well timed into this race, should run the trip and is a major chance.
Caulfield
Race 2
#3. Terilee @ $2.25 (neds) – Strong late splits last start when letting down nicely and looks ready for the rise to 1600m. Sets up well again and will be hard to hold out.
Race 3
#6. Thebelmontgangster @ $2.10 (neds) – Showed his class winning first-up last prep before things didn’t go to plan second-up. Has had a solid trial prep leading in and looks ready to fire fresh.
Race 6
#15. Milos Filos @ $12 / $3.70 (neds) – Big step up in grade but her maiden win rated well and she looks progressive. Draws to get a soft run and appeals as a genuine each-way play.
Race 8
#6. Immediacy @ $17 / $5 (neds) – Forgive last start when caught wide in a race that didn’t suit. First-up run behind a subsequent Group 1 winner was excellent and he looks over the odds. Each-way.
Race 9
#2. Cafe Millenium @ $9 (neds) – Consistent performer who was excellent winning two back and again strong last start despite the pattern. Proven at 1400m and the wide draw could suit if the track plays similarly.
#6. Persian Spirit @ $4.20 (neds) – Comes through the same race and also worked well against the bias. If he settles midfield with cover, he’ll be finishing hard and is right in the finish.
Oakbank
Race 1
#2. Kalmana @ $3.70 (neds) – Good return run in a race that has already held up well. Fitter now, up to 1400m which suits and gets weight relief with the claim. Hard to beat.
Race 2
#10. Brand Her Bold @ $8.50 / $2.80 (neds) – Debuted in a strong race and held her own. Maps to get a good run from the draw and looks over the odds each-way.
Race 8
#4. Great Maximus @ $4.60 (neds) – Forgive the last run where he over-raced. Prior form was solid and he’s well weighted. Track pattern will be key but he’s capable.
Eagle Farm
Race 2
#11. Isti Star @ $8.50 / $2.70 (neds) – Forgive the last start after a poor recovery. Trialled well since and looks set to get a soft run just off the speed. Nice each-way value.
Race 4
#4. Bunker Hut @ $2.15 (neds) – Has been building nicely this prep and the recent trial up here was strong. Gets a claim and looks ideally placed. Hard to beat.
