Race 1
#3. Iceman @ $3.70 – Charged late first-up over a trip short of ideal and looks set to improve stepping up to 1500m. Nash sticks and if he lands in the right spot, he’ll be hitting the line hard again.
Race 2
#14. Andale Andale @ $7.50 / $2.38 – Forget the heavy-track run fresh. Back onto dry ground and should get a soft run from the draw. Trialled well prior and looks over the odds. Nice each-way play.
Race 8
#5. Napoleonic @ $3.80 – Strong run behind a quality one last start and that form reads well for this. Extra trip shouldn’t be an issue and he looks right in the mix again.
Race 9
#5. Dark Glitter @ $11 / $2.63 – Loved the fresh effort where she powered home. Quick back-up suits and her second-up form last prep ties in strongly. Big price and worth an each-way ticket.
Race 10
#2. Kerguelen @ $8 / $2.20 – Showed late last prep he handles dry ground and will be running on late again. Needs tempo but if they roll up front, he’s a genuine each-way hope.
Caulfield
Race 2
#2. Rosberg @ $3.10 – High-quality debut winner who beat handy types and then had excuses in the Danehill. Resumes here and looks well placed. Hard to beat.
Race 4
#11. Mr Epozino @ $19 / $4.50 – Had no luck when held up last start and still finished off well. Up in class but has shown ability and can figure with clear running. Overs and worth an each-way look.
Race 6
#5. Damask Rose @ $3.10 – Good return run and will be fitter now. Rise in distance suits and this race isn’t strong against her best. Looks nicely placed to improve.
Race 7
#6. Feroce @ $12 / $2.50 – Encouraging first-up run and has performed well second-up before. Gets conditions to suit and looks a solid each-way chance at the price.
Race 9
#14. Point Barrow @ $2.90 –Gets right in with the light weight and looks very well set up. If she gets the breaks at the right time, she’ll be hard to hold out.
Morphettville
Race 1
#1. Bamyan Buddha @ $4 – Blinkers off has seen him improve sharply. Controlled from the front two back and unlucky not to win last start. Racing well and right in this.
Race 4
#1. Ronny Bee @ $1.95 – Has returned in good order and looks ready for this trip now. Strong late in both runs this prep and looks set to peak.
Race 6
#2. Blanc Visage @ $3.90 – Back in great order this campaign. Won from the back and then just missed last time against a handy one. Strong tempo here suits and she’ll be finishing off.
Doomben
Race 4
#11. The Wheelbarrow @ $2.90 – Big last-start win and still has plenty of upside. Draws well again and looks well placed to go on with it.
Race 6
#12. Time Of My Life @ $3.90 – Finished off strongly last start and looks ready to peak fourth-up. May not need to lead and this trip suits off that win.
Race 7
#14. Scripted @ $2.45 – Has had no luck with barriers this prep but still run huge. Finally draws to get a proper run. Hard to beat if she gets even luck.
Race 8
#8. Chief In Charge @ $4.80 – Sharp turn of foot in recent wins and saved for this after scratching midweek. Draws well and looks set to get the right run. Right in it.
