#3. Ratify @ $6.50 / $2.20 – Closed off nicely first-up in a race that turned into a sprint home. Should get a more genuine tempo here and maps to settle just off the speed. With natural improvement second-up, he looks a solid each-way play.
Race 5
#6. Taxation @ $2.60 – Progressive filly who jumped quickly to Saturday grade last prep on a heavy track. Has trialled well leading in and draws to get the right run fresh. Looks well placed.

Race 6
#8. Eternal @ $2.20 – Sharp in a recent jump-out and has a strong record fresh. Dominant winner first-up at Sale last campaign and if he returns in similar order, he’s the one to beat.
Balaklava
Race 3
#7. Flying Brant @ $3.50 – Showed good speed on debut and was only grabbed late after looming large. Will take improvement from that and should get another favourable run. Can go one better.
Race 4
#9. Fiabesca @ $3.70 – Fresh performer with upside who moved well in a recent jump-out. Drawn to settle in a handy position and should be finishing off strongly.
Race 5
#7. All Shot @ $4.50 – Comes out of stronger company and looks better suited back in grade. Drawn to land in a good spot from barrier three and can be right in the finish.
Doomben
Race 1
#6. Yotei @ $3.20 – Impressed in a recent Doomben trial and now debuts for a sharp stable. Trial figures stack up well and this looks the right race to kick off. Expect him to run well.
Race 7
#10. Laridae @ $2.60 – Last two runs have been strong, including chasing home The Wheelbarrow who looks a good horse. Big gap back to third last time and gets in light again with the claim. Finishing hard and hard to beat.
