Race 6
#1. Silentsar @ $11 / $2.70 (neds) – Has been below his best his past couple but gets the right setup to bounce back. Handles wet ground and if he rolls forward to lead, he can give a big sight at odds. Nice each-way play.
Race 7
#7. Diddle Dumpling @ $6 / $2.10 (neds) – Third-up now and was solid at Canterbury off a break, sticking on despite starting short. Strips fitter and the quick turnaround suits. Can improve and run well at a price.
Race 8
#2. Maybe Moet @ $2.45 (neds) – Looks ready for the rise in trip and should map to sit handy throughout. That setup suits and he’s going to be hard to hold out late.
Caulfield Heath
Race 4
#2. Nar Nar Goon @ $4.20 (neds) – Returns for his first full prep with the new stable and has looked sharp in two recent jump-outs. Draws well and sets up for a strong first-up showing.
Oakbank
Race 2
#11. Boolcunda Dawn @ $3.50 (neds) – Two solid runs this prep and should be peaking now. Comes out of a stronger race and the step to 1400m looks ideal. Just needs to settle early.
Race 5
#2. Littlebourkestreet @ $2.40 (neds) – Consistent mare who went close first-up in a stronger race. Maps to get a perfect run just off the speed and looks well placed here.
Race 6
#9. Sundogg @ $6.50 / $2.25 (neds) – Can mix his form but has the ability to figure in a race like this. Has had success at similar tracks and if he gets to the right part of the track, he’s an each-way chance.
Doomben
Race 1
#9. Koolibah @ $4.40 (neds) – Lightly raced and still improving. Strong through the line last start and looks suited stepping up in trip. From a good yard and with even luck, she’s hard to beat.
Race 4
#3. Superhero @ $2.25 (neds) – Strong first-up run at Doomben after settling further back than ideal. Fitter now, better draw, and looks well placed to go on with it.
Race 5
#8. Our Mate Locky @ $4.20 (neds) – Hit the line well last start in a race where there was a gap to third. Draws well again but the start is the key. If he jumps cleanly, he’s right in the finish.
