Best Options for the Week
Free Agent Pick-ups / One-Week Plays
Tanah Boyd (5/8) – 38.5% ownership
Liked him last week and see no reason why you wouldn’t want him this week. Comes off 70 points in his first outing with plenty of attacking stats, and took over the goalkicking duties. Faces the Knights, Titans and Dolphins over the next three weeks.
Taine Tuaupiki (CTW / FLB) – 49.8% ownership
Another one I liked last week and who comes off a big score with 104 points against the Tigers. Put up 2 try assists, 20 points in tackle busts, 1 line break, and 2 line break assists. CNK is due back soon, but more than a handy pick up this week against the Knights with dual coverage.
Paul Alamotti (CTW) – 63.3% ownership
Pretty decently owned now, but if he’s floating around on waivers/free agents in your comp, you’d be stupid not to grab. Great base, scoring tries, and taking over the goal kicking with Cleary out.
Brad Schneider (HFB / 5/8) – 21.3% ownership
Perfect one week play if you’re in need of a halve. Schneider has played two 80 minute games this year at HB and put up scores of 55 and 93. Penrith are on a roll at the minute, and should be plenty of points available against the Bunnies.
Luke Garner (2RF / CTW) – 40.3% ownership
Solid dual option and has a great match up against the Bunnies this week. Currently has a 69 3RA, averaging 49 in base over those games and found the paint last week against the Eels.
Jethro Rinakama (CTW) – 2.5% ownership
Solid score in his debut game last week putting up 53 points against the Cows. Of that came 34 in base, with a try and line break. With Montoya out for another 5 weeks, you’ll be able to have coverage through to finals and the Dogs have a great run home playing the Dragons, Manly, Tigers, Warriors and Roosters over the next 5 rounds.
Siosifa Talakai (2RF / CTW) – 35.1% ownership
Liked him over the past few weeks and surprised his ownership isn’t higher. Is dual coverage, and looks devastating every time he has the ball. Has also bombed a few attacking stats the past fortnight, so if he can start crossing the chalk or finding Mulitalo more often, he’s due for some big scores.
