NRL Round 7 SuperCoach Top Waiver Wire Pick Ups

Hooker –
Soni Luke 0.7% ownership
Luke isn’t waiver-worthy for me; however, he’s the best option this week if you need a hooker with Reed Mahoney missing a week through HIA protocols. If you’re someone who doesn’t care about wasting a waiver, then go for gold – personally, though, I’d be setting the alarm early tomorrow morning and grabbing him as a free agent.

FRF –
Xavier Willison – 29.7% ownership
Gets a start at lock this week and likely next week too, with Pat Carrigan suspended. Add in the fact that Payne Haas is carrying an AC injury, and he could be in for some big minutes. The big fella can score a try and make things happen.

Other alternatives
Leo Thompson
Cooper Clarke

2RF –
Luke Garner – 25.4% ownership

With the unfortunate injury to Liam Martin, it opens the door for Garner to be a cheeky little pick-up for your team. Has a knack for finding the try line, and I’d back anyone in this Penrith side to score well in SuperCoach at the moment.

Other alternatives
Ativalu Lisati and Ryan Couchman
Not playing this week, but they’ll be back in the next 1-2 weeks, respectively. Get them before they are named and hot property on the waiver wire.

Halfback –
Hugo Savala – 24.1% ownership

Another guy that’s of the same mould as Soni Luke – it’s not waiver-worthy as it’s only a short-term option with Billy Smith on the extended bench and will take back the left centre spot when he’s fit. Set the alarm and grab him off free agents if you need a halfback this week. As mentioned, Smith is on the extended bench, so keep an eye on that as he may be a late swap to the bench.

Other Alternatives
Jamie Humphreys

5/8 –
Chanel Harris-Tavita 29.4% ownership

Had him on this list last week, and 55 points is like gold at 5/8 this year. There will be plenty of points on offer against the Titans this week, and he deserves to be owned by more teams. If you are the unfortunate owner of AJ Brimson, you have been blessed with an upgrade.

Other alternatives
Hugo Savala

CTW –
Enari Tuala – 35.3% ownership

Tuala is absolutely bossing it since coming into the side, averaging 68.8 without even scoring a try. I will put my house on him breaking that scoring duck this week against the pathetic Eels. The pick of the CTW’s this week.

Other alternatives
Bronson Xerri
Dallin Watene-Zelezniak
Tyrell Sloan

Fullback –
Conor Tracey – 67.7% ownership

This is tough because any fullback that is worth owning will likely be owned in your league. If, however, Conor Tracey is sitting there and you need a fullback this week, similar to why I like Tuala this week, I think the Bulldogs will put a score on the Eels this week, and I’d take a punt on any of their players this week.
