Lets take a look at potential VC & C options for Round 13.
VC Options
Ryan Papenhuyzen – The Titans are struggling and have copped a few injuries. The Storm are stinging from a loss last round and will be looking to put a score on during a day game on the Gold Coast. Titans are in the top 30% of teams for points conceded to fullbacks, and with the added bonus of goal kicking and a proven ability to post mammoth scores, Paps should be your first consideration.
Jahrome Hughes – Similar to above, Hughes will be involved in most things that Melbourne throw at the Titans. One for the POD merchants among us.
Eli Katoa – The Titans concede more points to back rowers than any other team in the NRL. On top of this, Katoa will be attacking the edge with Foran & Randall who is playing out of position. I expect Hughes to put him over and a double wouldn’t shock!
C Options
Scott Drinkwater – Home game against the Tigers is always appealing. Drinky has a 5RA of 94, which includes his 14 last week. That’s nothing short of elite, so tipping him to bounce back on a dry track in the evening.
Terrell May – A few people have been burned by the backs low scores recently, so far that reason we have a safe selection this week in Terrell May. The Cowboys have 4 players backing up from Origin 1 (2 of which defend in the middle) and are in the top 20% for points conceded to FRF in 2025. Lock him in for a floor of 75.
