Round 19 is here, so lets take a look at popular buys and sells across the Origin period.
Buy
Connor Watson – Think he is comfortably the best hooker going around and didn’t get many minutes in Origin recently. Your best option for the run home if you are looking to make a trade at hooker.
Viliame Kikau – Kikau has upped his base power, which has dramatically increased his scoring floor and therefore, his overall appeal. The Bulldogs are one of the best teams in the competition and have no more remaining byes to come, so barring injury will be a player in your 17 every week. I am interested.
Jacob Preston – Similar to Kikau, I like Jacob Preston for all the same reasons. Knows how to find the line, and has a great work ethic. One to consider.
James Tedesco – A no brainer for the run home, and has now completed all 2025 byes. Lock him into your sides
Bronson Xerri – One for the POD hunters. A really good short term run, and is overdue to find the line and put on a score. Owned by only 3% of teams, can he put a score on the understrength Broncos?
Nathan Cleary – Origin duties are now finished, and I expect him to be a late inclusion against the Eels on Sunday. Still the best halfback option despite a down season and yet another poor Origin campaign.
Angus Crichton – Has bottomed out now and is a good option for the run home at sub 600k. A Supercoach gun for years, I would expect his output to increase.
Mark Nawaqanitawase – Such a freak athlete and enjoyable player to watch and own. Back to the wing this week which favours his output, with no further byes to come. Lock him in for the run home.
Hold
Ryan Papenhuyzen – Should only miss one more week, so if you’ve held until now I would hold one week more.
Camerson Munster – Dominant in Origin and is expected to only miss one week. Hold
All Manly Players – Manly players have an outstanding H2H finals run, and therefore I would be looking to hold the likes of Hopoate, Trbojevic, Cherry-Evans & Garrick if you still own them.
Sell
Sandon Smith
Has lost his spot due to the return of Sam Walker. Sell
