Really looking forward to this game. The Roosters are desperate to get back into the 8 and should leave nothing on the table. The Storm are the better outfit but with no Paps nor Munster, their attack is clearly weakened and this game could go either way. Happy to take the first half points here.

Canberra Raiders vs Newcastle Knights – GIO Stadium
Newcastle were seconds away from a well deserved win against the Warriors before having their hearts ripped out of them. Their season is dusted and they head down to GIO against a Raiders outfit set on winning the Minor Premiership. The Knights generally struggle to score points while the Raiders can go back-to-back from anywhere on the park. Expect that if the Raiders get a lead, the Knights may throw in the towel and the points will flow.

Canterbury-Bankstown Bulldogs vs Manly Sea Eagles – Shark Stadium
The Dogs are still building their combinations with Galvin now running the side and their Origin players back in the fold. Ciraldo made a point that they expect to really improve in weeks to come and I have the Dogs as genuine contenders come September, on the back of their defence. Manly turned up last week and surprised many but they’re not a side I can put my hard earned on. The -3.5 looks a gift.
