The NRL is getting increasingly harder to predict each week, but onwards and upwards! As always, gamble responsibly!
Broncos vs Bulldogs – Suncorp Stadium, Brisbane
The Broncos are understrength this week with a few players missing out with injury, however I expect them to be competitive at home. The Dogs continue to get things done and are currently the team to beat in 2025. Think this will be a bit of a grind but the Bulldogs class will shine through and get them over the line.
Suggested Bet: Bulldogs -4.5, Under 48.5 match points @ $2.90
Roosters vs Dragons – Allianz Stadium, Sydney
Expect this to be a very close game on the scoreboard, however points are to be had. All 5 of the last meetings between the two sides have had Over 46.5 total match points. I feel Tupou is a bit of a mismatch on Sloan’s edge both physically and aerially so expect the Roosters to try and exploit that.
Suggested Bet: Either Team by 6 or Less, Over 46.5 match points, Sione Finau & Daniel Tupou to score $ $15
Warriors vs Knights – Apollo Projects Stadium, Christchurch
I don’t love the Warriors this short despite being at home, so will look to get some value from the Knights who are due a performance. Marzhew is an attacking beast however is also suspect defensively and is often good to target (eg Stonestreet double against him last week) The return of CNK this week also makes the Warriors right edge stronger.
Suggested Bet: Knights +8.5, Greg Marzhew & Taine Tuaupiki to score @ $8
Storm vs Rabbitohs – AAMI Stadium, Melbourne
After conceding so many points last week, you can bet Bellamy has been focusing on defence at training this week. I expect Storm to be up for this and to keep Souths to a low points total. Coates has a favourable matchup against Bentley-Hape this week and is in great tryscoring form, so we will look here for some value.
Suggested Bet: Coates to score, Under 46.5 match points @ $4.50
Cowboys vs Titans – Queensland Country Bank Stadium, Townsville
Expect the Cowboys to win this comfortably after starting to put things together of late. AKP is a tryscoring machine and has scored at least 1 try in his last 10 appearances in QLD. The Titans are suspect defensively and I like Drinkwater to cross the white stripe.
Suggested Bet: Cowboys -7.5, Scott Drinkwater & Alofiana Khan-Pereira to score @ $8
Panthers vs Sea Eagles – CommBank Stadium, Sydney
It seems that teams are starting to target the Penrith left edge defensively as has been the case in recent weeks. Betting is suspended on Saab to score so I assume he may be a late out for Tommy Talau? Either way we will be looking to whoever the right winger is, which is usually a very solid bet in any game that Tom Trbojevic plays. Sportsbet have priced Sorensen at $6 to score anytime where he is considerably lower elsewhere so will look to get some value there as $6 for an edge forward running at DCE & Ben Trbojevic feels overs.
Suggested Bet: Jason Saab or Tommy Talau & Scott Sorensen to score @ $12
Raiders vs Dolphins – GIO Stadium, Canberra
8 of the last 9 Dolphins games have gone under 49.5 points, and they have lost 7 of their last 7 matches outside of QLD. Think the Raiders get the chocolates at home and will look to follow trends and bet the unders.
Suggested Bet: Raiders win, Under 49.5 points @ $2.90
Wests Tigers vs Sharks – Leichhardt Oval, Sydney
Last bet of the round so looking for a bit of a fill up here. Sharks should be too strong for the Tigers, even at Leichhardt. The Tigers have so much going on at the club off the field and it seems to be a huge distraction. Bula is looking electric at the back, so I am backing him to go over. Nikora is a staple in SGMs across the country, and Hiroti has scored in all of his last 5 games.
Suggested Bet: Sharks -6.5, Jahream Bula, Briton Nikora and Mawene Hiroti to score @ $29
