#6. Scoop The Pool @ $4 (neds) – Ran into a very smart one last start and now gets James McDonald aboard. The favourite deserves respect, but these look much closer in the market.
Race 5
#5. Superfrabulistic @ $5.50 (neds) – Looks ready to peak third-up and probably should have won last start. Likely rolls forward and takes plenty of catching.
Race 6
#3. Winston Hills @ $5 (neds) – Strong fresh horse who looks much better suited back on top of the ground. Can run a big race.
Geelong
Race 8
#11. Mrs Iglesia @ $2.80 (neds) – Charged home late last start and produced the fastest last 200m of the meeting. The rise in trip looks ideal and the low draw should see her land a nice spot.
Murray Bridge
Race 1
#4. Bilk @ $2.60 (neds) – Has looked sharp in three trials and the latest at Balaklava was particularly good. Gets in nicely at the weights with the claim and looks hard to beat on debut.
Race 2
#12. Quillan @ $2.25 (neds) – Improved nicely last start and probably should have finished closer. Maps to get a soft run on speed and looks ready for 1200m now.
Race 4
#8. Taajwar @ $5.50 (neds) – Has had no luck at his last couple and now gets Pannell aboard. Looks over the odds in an open race.
Doomben
Race 3
#1. Woodrow @ $1.90 (neds) – Tough run last start where he was there fighting right to the line and only just missed. Can settle forward again and looks very hard to beat.
Race 4
#10. Fashionable @ $10 / $2.90 EW (neds) – Looks very well placed here with the light weight and her staying form from the spring reads strongly. The only knock is blinkers coming off, but she appeals at the EW odds.
Race 8
#5. Heyoka @ $5.50 (neds) – Honest mare who has been around the mark all prep without winning. Trialled well leading in and from gate six should get every chance.
