Liverpool can mathematically wrap up the PL title with a win against Leicester if Arsenal lose to Ipswich. Let’s take a look at the fixtures and see if we can find a win or two amongst this gameweeks fixtures.
Sunday 20th April 2025
Fulham vs Chelsea – 11:00PM
Fulham have been solid at home this season, losing only 4 times. This match is vital for Fulham’s push for European football in 25/26, so expect them to be up for the West London derby. Chelsea have been very inconsistent, especially away from Stamford Bridge, where they have only won 6 games out of 16. Chelsea also need to win to keep pushing for the top 4. I expect this to be a feisty clash with both teams having so much to play for so will look at the cards market to find a bet. It is worth nothing that Chelsea are the most yellow carded team in the PL, receiving 89 in just 32 games.
Suggested Bet: Fulham win, Marc Cucurella to be booked @ $12
Ipswich vs Arsenal – 11:00PM
Both teams have a significant amount of players missing this fixture through injury. A loss for Ipswich could confirm relegation pending on the result in the Man United vs Wolves game on at the same time – though relegation is almost a certainty for them regardless. Arsenal’s back 4 is the least likely to be rotated and is statistically the best defence in the league (based on xGc as well as actual goals conceded) so I favour Arsenal to win to nil.
Suggested Bet: Arsenal to win to nil, Enciso 1+ shots on target @ $7
Man United vs Wolves – 11:00PM
Man United have nothing to play for in the league now and are coming off an emotional high after an exhausting 120 minute affair against Lyon. Wolves on the other hand have won 4 league games in a row and can confirm their PL status for 25/26 with a win this weekend if results go their way. Funnily enough, an away win would actually see Wolves draw level on points with Manchester United. I like playing some value here and with Wolves being only $2.60 to win at Old Trafford (crazy, right?) we need to get a little funky.
Suggested Bet: Wolves win, Ait Nouri to be booked @ $11
Monday 21st April 2025
Leicester vs Liverpool – 1:30AM
Liverpool can clinch the title this weekend if results go their way, so I expect nothing but a dominant away win. Leicester come into this game losing 8 of their last 8 home fixtures without scoring a goal in the process. Liverpool come into this having won 5 of their last 6.
Suggested Bet: Salah to get an assist, Over 5 Liverpool corners, Liverpool -1 @ $7 (EDITED 21/4 to remove Robertson yellow card as he is on the bench)
Tuesday 22nd April 2025
Tottenham vs Nottingham Forest – 5:00AM
Spurs come into this fixture having won 1 of their last 6 matches, both scoring and conceding 8 goals during this stretch. Forest have been more impressive, winning 4 of their last 6. Spurs have an average xG of 1.11 per match and an xGC of 1.81, indicating struggles in both scoring and defending. Forest have an average xG of 1.16 per match and an xGC of 1.16, reflecting more balanced outcomes. My favoured bet here was Forest win with BTTS, however I am opting for a correct score for a tad more value.
Suggested Bet: 2-1 win Forest @ $11
Wednesday 23rd April 2025
Man City vs Aston Villa– 5:00AM
Man City’s xGc is 41.67 from their opening 31 games, indicating that they are expected to concede in most matches based on the chances they give up to the opposition. Aston Villa’s xG suggests they have been creating a substantial number of scoring opportunities, while their xGC indicates a relatively high number of goals conceded, which may point to defensive vulnerabilities. Villa are coming off a fantastic victory over Newcastle and I expect them to carry that confidence into this fixture. Both teams have plenty to play for and will be going for the win.
Suggested Bet: 2-2 draw, Lucas Digne 2+ fouls @ $31
Thursday 24th April 2025
Arsenal vs Crystal Palace – 5:00AM
Palace are expected to heavily rotate in this fixture due to FA Cup commitments, so we might see an understrength lineup. Arsenal have maintained a solid attacking record, with an xG of 1.91 per match, indicating consistent offensive output. Palace’s xGC of 1.45 indicates defensive vulnerabilities that Arsenal’s potent attack could exploit, especially if they are understrength as is expected.
Suggested Bet: Saka to score, Arsenal WBH @ $7
