#6. Rasp @ $4.40 – Against the fav here and think this horse is running super without getting the chocolates. Step up the mile suits where he presented his best career figure.
Race 5
#13. War Ribbon @ $11 – This horse ran extremely well last start when against the pattern of the day. Likes the sting out of the ground, and maps for a lovely run.
Doomben
Race 1
#2. Winchman @ $2.20 – Ran behind an excellent type last start and will be better for that run today. Think the drop back in distance is perfect for this horse, and gets the gun run from barrier 1.
Balaklava
Race 2
#13. Tiddy Widdy @ $2.20 – Comes out of two strong rating maidens and think she has to get the job done today. Will carry no weight from the wide draw and think she has more ability than these.
Race 5
#9. Smashing Action @ $5 – Been racing super well and another one who will carry no weight. Will make her own luck from the front and be hard to run down.
Race 7
#2. Enciphering @ $3.40 – We know he’ll relish the wet conditions and comes here in really good form. Should sit leaders back and barring no bad luck in run, should be in the finish.
Sandown
Race 3
#3. Butternut Princess @ $4.80 – Was only narrowly beaten by All Business last start and gets a 5kg swing here. Likes the wet, and think she should be shorter.
