#2. Bello Cavallo @ $1.90 (neds) – Brings the strongest form from last prep and has trialled well enough leading in. Clearly the horse to beat, even if the price is a touch short.
Caulfield Heath
Race 2
#6. Tolpuddle @ $5.50 (neds) – Loves this track, with two wins here already, and his two runs for the new stable have been solid. Up to a more suitable trip now and Zahra going on looks a big positive.
Strathalbyn
Race 1
#7. Minimise @ $2.60 (neds) – Built nicely on debut over 1400m and looks suited stepping to the mile. This doesn’t look a deep race and she gets her chance.
Race 2
#9. Winning All Round @ $2.60 (neds) – Should’ve won on debut before losing it in the stewards’ room after shifting ground. This looks a touch easier and if he’s cleaned that up, he can make amends.
Race 6
#3. Taraashoq @ $8.50 / $2.50 EW (neds) – Can mix his form but was unlucky at Naracoorte and there was merit in the run. More than capable at the odds.
Ipswich
Race 1
#3. Hell Or Heaven @ $2.10 (neds) – Good debut in town where he hit the line strongly late and should improve sharply off that experience. Thompson goes on and that only helps.
Race 4
#5. Concession @ $2.80 (neds) – Worked too hard wide last start, but the run prior was excellent. Back to 1200m suits, maps well and looks set to bounce back.
Race 7
#4. Rhuvaal @ $4.50 (neds) – May improve off the run, but the draw gives him every chance and he has enough class to figure if produced at the right time.
#9. Lynehem @ $4.60 (neds) – Has upside and looks the type who can keep working through the grades. This setup wouldn’t surprise at all.
