Rosehill
Race 6
I have #12 Declichy Bouelevard on top but hard to back after starting 30/1 last two starts. Going to spec two other Waller horses here first up from NZ – see below.
#10. Real Class @ $11.50 – Won a 2000m Group 2 in NZ last start and resumes off a 73-day spell. No world beaters in this race so only have to be half decent to figure. Lightly raced, winning two races from first four starts and strong through the line in the one trial it has had.
#7. Movin Out @ $14.50 – Beaten 1.6L in 1600m Group 1 in NZ last start. Resumes off 119-day spell. Trialled OK, having three trials leading into this. Looks to have ability and Tim Clark is a plus.Â
Race 7
Looking for on pace horses over 1100m Rosehill, particularly on drying track.
#6. Time to Boogie @ $4.20 – A lot of pace in the race but barrier 1 gives Bayliss options here if taken on. Will be leading or box seat which is ideal. Best horse in the race Pisanello has synthetic hoof filler and will get back. Perspiration will also get back giving this horse every chance on pace.
Race 8
#4 Lady Shenandoah is a good horse but looking for value in a big filly and mares field.
#7. Coeur Volante @$10 – Lightly raced Mexican with a good winning strike rate. Won by 4L last start at Caulfield and offers different form in this. Has barrier 1 which is also expected to be advantageous on the day. Rates well and right in it.
#13. Scarlet Oak @$31 – Best roughie in the race and have it marked it single figures. Jumps from barrier 2 which will help. Unwanted in betting first up but looked like a horse ready to win soon. Showed a lot of ability in Brisbane filly races and ready to go on with it.
Race 9
#11. Ducasse @ $4.80 – Up in class from BM100 win. Not a lot to beat here and just needs to match the first-up run. Barrier 1 ideal and should not have to get too far back with Tim Clark on board.
#9. Willowdow @ $11.50 – Likely leader back to Rosehill from Randwick. Won first up at Rosehill and has a great strike rate winning 8 of 18. Has started well in the market both runs this prep and I would expect to run better than the $11.2 available.
Race 10
#9. Harlem Queen @$4.80 – Best bet of the day. Trialled sensationally behind Private Harry and gets James McDonald first up. Started single figures in two Group 1 3YO races to end last prep and resumes here in a BM88. Has similar form to favourite 12. Les Vampires, who got rolled in a BM88 first up at 9/4 but I think this horse may be superior and can get the job done.
