Race 1 – 15. Silver Wedding @$4.50
Spelled after only one run in her first campaign. That one run was game after she caused her own problems with a poor getaway. Improved barrier manners would aid her cause here. Love the trial coming into this and draws ideal.
Race 3 – 2. Ahuriri @$3.00
Struck traffic problems when she resumed last start on the Kensington track. Forgiving that run over the shorter distance where she gets a lot in her favour today. Draws perfectly from barrier 2 to sit just off the speed, and huge jockey upgrade with Jmac taking the steer.
Bendigo
Race 1 – 5. Plymouth @$2.60
Plymouth was heavily backed in a strong maiden on debut on the strength of some impressive jumpouts. He settled back off a slow speed and was never a chance there but was doing his best work late suggesting the rise in distance is a positive. Blake Shinn sticks with him and if he can begin his race better it won’t surprise to see him ridden much further forward.
Race 2 – 9. Ten Warriors @$4.50
Ten Warriors has tackled two strong races this preparation. He returned from a long spell finishing runner-up behind subsequent Caulfield winner Kundalini. He then raced four-wide without cover behind The Mansman and Pop Award. He gets Blake Shinn on and it won’t surprise to see him ridden aggressively from the wide barrier.
Strathalbyn
Race 1 – 10. Pappiana @$2.20
Lightly raced and ran well last time when stepping up to 1600m. Extra distance looks a positive, and looks to have more upside than these.
Race 5 – 4. Limited Risk @$4.50
Stepped up in trip and was ridden positively last time. He won impressive and recorded good time. If he can repeat that run, he will be very hard to beat.
