Hooker –
Tristan Hope – 8.3% ownership
Scored a solid 70 on the weekend, making 57 tackles and had a few runs out of dummy half, which is what we like to see. Played the whole 80 due to the Tigers getting a few key injuries. Latu Fainu likely spells him and plays hooker for a little stretch, but if you need a hooker, you just grab him and hope for the best over the next two weeks while he fills in for Api Korosau. He is a free agent pick-up at 4 am on Wednesday – not waiver-worthy.

Other alternatives
Jayden Brailey

FRF –
Jason Taumalolo – 39% ownership
Lolo has been playing the best he has in years the past few weeks and is looking destructive charging down the middle of the field – and if there’s one team’s forward pack you’d back anyone to steamroll at the moment it’s Parramatta. Should be tackle busts and offloads galore for the big man this week.

Other alternatives
Thomas Mikaele

2RF –
Dylan Egan – 18.7% ownership

I’m not sure about this one, I’m just taking a punt here (will be using a waiver on him myself). He makes his first start in the NRL after a long lay off from that ACL injury, I’m unsure about minutes, his role in the team going forward once Leilua and Sua return but my gut tells me this guy, along with the Couchman brothers are the future of this forward pack and Dean Young will just be getting this guy on the field when he can just like he’s doing with young Kade Reed. He may be playing 30 mins off the bench in 3 weeks, but screw it, gotta risk it for the biscuit.

Other alternatives
Teig Wilton

Halfback –
Jock Madden – 10.1% ownership

Will play halfback for the Tigers over the next 4-6 weeks after Adam Doueihi’s shoulder injury on the weekend, and will also kick goals, which is a handy bonus. The Tigers don’t have the easiest run over the next month, so I wouldn’t expect him to be a world beater – but he’ll do a job for those Adam Doueihi and even Adam Reynolds owners.

Other alternatives
Ronald Volkman

5/8 –
I don’t like any of the options available on the waiver wire this week. I would be looking to AE for sure. If it’s necessary to grab a 5/8 – get Joash Papalii and hope the Cowboys have an off night.

CTW
Cody Ramsey – 2.5% ownership
Not an awful lot of options available at CTW this week, so I think a flyer on Cody Ramsey is the go, who will slot into the Roosters backline for the next month or so with Nawaqanitawase out with an ankle injury. Awesome match-up this week against the Titans as well.

Other alternatives
Any Cowboys outside back that may be sitting on your waiver wire for whatever reason.

Fullback –
Clint Gutherson – 37% ownership

He can’t keep being as bad as he was to start the season, can he? Playing at home fresh off a bye against a team that just conceded 38 points – he’s your best option if you need a fullback this week. Don’t hate me, though, when the Dragons lose again, and Gutho scores 33.

Other alternatives
Cody Ramsey
