Our NRL SuperCoach Round 14 team analysis breaks down team list changes, cash cows, trade targets and key insights for every game.

Sea Eagles vs Rabbitohs – Thursday 7:50PM at 4 Pines Park

Sea Eagles

Both origin representatives (Olakau’atu and Koula) return. Josh Feledy and Jackson Shereb move to the bench.

Rabbitohs

David Fifita returns from a hamstring injury, starting in the back row. Keaon Koloamatangi moves back to the front row, while Brandon Smith comes in at hooker. Ed Kosi and Campbell Graham return on the wing and centre respectively. Jye Gray also returns, shifting Dufty to the extended bench.

SuperCoach Analysis

My main interest here is in the aforementioned Origin players, however it is hard to recommend a purchase considering representative duties as well as an upcoming bye in Round 22. I’d be looking at Olakau’atu from Round 19 onwards, assuming he backs up.

There are a few fallen guns at Souths that we can look to buy after their Round 16 bye. Fifita ($538k) and Koloamatangi ($518k) are very cheap and have the fantasy pedigree behind them. At these prices, you really can’t go wrong.

Storm vs Knights – Friday 6:00PM at AAMI Park

Storm

Waitere starts in the centres, with Meaney ruled out with a calf injury. Shawn Blore is on the reserves as he looks to return from concussion.

Knights

Sandon Smith will miss a few weeks with a calf injury, which sees Fletcher Sharpe move back in the halves. Fletcher Hunt moves to centre.

SuperCoach Analysis

Melbourne miss the next two bye rounds, so are an avoid for any overall players. The likes of Faalogo, Grant, Munster, Lisati and Utoikamanu will be popular on the run home though.

Newcastle have some soft upcoming fixtures, though do have a bye next week (and again in R27). I am interested in Sharpe and Lucas now, plus Ponga post origin provided the Knights are still putting points on as they have been recently.

Raiders vs Roosters – Friday 8:00PM at GIO Stadium

Raiders

Daine Laurie moves to centre to cover for Kris who is out with concussion. Jayden Brailey returns at lock.

Roosters

Roosters are 1-19, though Nawaqanitawase is lurking in the reserves as he nears a return from injury.

SuperCoach Analysis

Tapine is very interesting at mid 600s and now boasts a 3RA of 79. The Raiders miss Round 15 and then play every round until Round 26, with plenty of soft games before then. Hudson Young is one to consider post Origin.

Angus Crichton can be considered if you want to roll the dice as he is super cheap and we know what he is capable of. At 6% owned, it might be worth it for those wanting to gamble. Tedesco can be brought back in post Origin.

Cowboys vs Dolphins – Saturday 5:30PM at Queensland Country Bank Stadium

Cowboys

Reuben Cotter is back from being rested post Origin duty. Soni Luke returns on the bench. Tom Mikaele has been named to start again, though he did come off injured last week so could be a late out.

Dolphins

Herbie Farnworth and Kodi Nikorima return from injury, while Plath, Cobbo and Tabuai-Fidow return froim Origin duty.

SuperCoach Analysis

No Cowboys interest me currently as they miss both Round 15 & 18. Reevaluate post Origin.

Dolphins players are a fantastic buy this week, considering they play all rounds now until R21. Herbie should be owned by 100% of teams. Outside him, the likes of Isaako and Finefeuiaki should be strongly considered.

Broncos vs Titans – Saturday 7:35PM at Suncorp Stadium

Broncos

Grant Anderson has been named at centre, Willison at lock and Gosiewski in the back row. Shibasaki and Pat Carrigan are out injured. Ezra Mam has dropped to the bench as he nurses a niggle and poor form, which sees Tom Duffy come in at #6.

Titans

Tino Fa’asuamaleaui and Jojo Fifita return from Origin duty, which sees Klese Haas and Jaylan de Groot drop to the bench. Oliver Pascoe returns from concussion and will start at hooker.

SuperCoach Analysis

Broncos miss both 16 & 19, so I would be only be considering players that haven’t been picked for Origin. Walsh & Willison are the ones to consider, though Walsh could easily be picked for Origins 2 & 3. Haas is ridiculously cheap if you have the cover, though I prefer waiting.

The Titans only have one bye remaining in 2026 (18) so can strongly be considered. Campbell, Fermor & Fa’asuamaleaui are of particular interest and should be looked at pending your team balance. Tino now boasts a 5RA of 73.

Wests Tigers vs Panthers – Sunday 2:00PM at CommBank Stadium

Wests Tigers

Alex Twal is expected to miss 4-6 weeks with a knee injury after a case of friendly fire from a teammate last week, seeing Charlie Murray start at lock. Mavrik Geyer comes in for Sione Fainu in the second row.

Panthers

Origin stars Isaah Yeo, Nathan Cleary and Brian To’o will all return for the Panthers after being rested last week. Liam Henry, Jack Cogger and Izack Tago return to the bench. Paul Alamoti will move to right centre.

Supercoach Analysis

Twal is unfortunately a sell as we expect him to miss 4-6 weeks. The Tigers are fantastic purchases and now only miss Round 23, covering all remaining tricky Origin effected rounds. Terrell May and Kai Pearce-Paul are absolute musts. I am holding Makasini for the extra number across these rounds.

Sharks vs Dragons – Sunday 4:05PM at Ocean Protect Stadium

Sharks

Nicho Hynes is expected to be out until Round 18-19, so Puru continues at halfback. Jayden Berrell will start at hooker after Blayke Brailey broke his forearm. KL Iro and Sione Katoa are lurking in the reserves as they look to return from injury.

Dragons

Jacob Liddle is back from the bench, while Jaydn Su’A lurks on the reserves.

Supercoach Analysis

Sharks assets are fantastic purchases, only missing Round 17 from here. Fonua-Blake has to lift his output sooner or later and does have a soft run home, so I will be looking at him post Origin. Outside him, Brailey, Hynes and Iro are all ones to consider when they return from injury.

Bulldogs vs Eels – Monday 4:05PM at Accor Stadium

Bulldogs

Dogs are 1-13.

Eels

Tallyn Da Silva has been named at hooker, though he could swap with Harrison Edwards on game day as they did last week. Ryley Smith is among the reserves.

Supercoach Analysis

There is some mail that Kiraz might be out this week due to soreness. If he plays, I am looking to captain him this week. He is avering 108.5 at fullback and is putting up ludicrous base power numbers. Sitili Tupouniua is putting up amazing scores, though I will be looking elsewhere as there are so many good options this season.

No interest at the Eels.
