Our NRL SuperCoach Round 5 team analysis breaks down team list changes, cash cows, trade targets and key insights for every game.
Dolphins vs Sea Eagles – Thursday 8:00PM at Kayo Stadium

Dolphins
Kurt Donoghoe comes into the extended squad.
Sea Eagles
Jason Saab is suspended, which sees Clayton Faulalo come in on the wing. Ethan Bullemor has been named to come off the bench after being a late out last week.
SuperCoach Analysis
Finefeuiaki is putting up silly numbers in 2026, averaging a mammoth 75 in base power this season (which only includes one offload) He is a really exciting option and one I would be looking to get ASAP if you need a back rower. He is also passing the eye test and looks destructive with every carry. Everyone should already own Herbie Farnworth, and Isaako is someone worth consideration. The Dolphins do have the bye in Round 6, so make sure that is factored into your trade decisions this week.
I have minimal interest at the Sea Eagles until we see more from them.
Rabbitohs vs Bulldogs – Friday 4:05PM at Accor Stadium

Rabbitohs
Campbell Graham returns on the wing.
Bulldogs
Hayes (bench) and Hughes (starting) are back for this game. Josh Curran misses out due to a rib issue from the bone rattling tackle he copped last week against Newcastle. Bronson Xerri is part of the extended bench.
SuperCoach Analysis
Plenty of Supercoach interest at South Sydney, especially now their first bye is out of the way. Keep in mind that they play R13 and R16 which is the rounds where 3 teams have the bye when you are squad planning. Latrell Mitchell looks electric, and I have interest in Koloamatangi, Fifita and Tallis Duncan once his price bottoms out. I think Cody Walker will be a sell in the not too distant future.
Usual suspects appeal here. Kiraz, Preston, Kikau & Crichton.
Panthers vs Storm – Friday 8:00PM at CommBank Stadium

Panthers
Mitch Kenny is suspended, which sees Freddy Lussick start at hooker. Jack Cogger returns to the bench.
Storm
Meaney returns after missing last week with a back injury, though he moves to centre. Moses Leo is out with concussion, while Jack Howarth has been named despite succumbing to injury last week. Lazarus Vaalepu comes in for Tui Kamikamica, who misses out with a medical issue. The team at Draught Sports wishes him a speedy recovery.
SuperCoach Analysis
Tom Jenkins continued his ridiculous tryscoring form last week – notching 10 in the opening 4 rounds. He is very expensive, though it is hard to argue with his output. Brian To’o scored his worst ever SC score since his debut, and looks to be a very different version of the player we have become accustomed to. Isaiah Papali’i looks to have won the edge spot after being named again and performing, so I now feel safe enough with his job security to recommend him. Nathan Cleary is the best halfback in Supercoach.
Faalogo, Hughes, Utoikamanu, Grant & Munster are the SC guns in this side. I would start looking at an exit plan for Joe Chan as he could become a sell soon after making big cash.
Dragons vs Cowboys – Saturday 5:30PM at Jubilee Stadium

Dragons
King-Togia comes into the side, replacing Kyle Flanagan who looks set to miss some time with concussion. Suli returns to the side at centre. Toby Couchman returns to the starting side, while David Fale makes his debut on the wing. Sloan is part of the 6 man bench.
Cowboys
Tom Chester returns from suspension, which sees Zac Laybutt drop to the extended bench.
SuperCoach Analysis
Holmes & Su’A are putting up great numbers, and both can be considered in this good run for the Dragons. I am a big fan of Hamish Stewart when he gets the minutes – one to watch.
Jake Clifford has been excellent to start the season, but I still dont see him as a genuine SC option. Reed Mahoney’s output has been shocking and I would look to get him out of your side urgently.
Titans vs Broncos – Saturday 7:35PM at Cbus Super Stadium

Titans
Titans are 1-19.
Broncos
Payne Haas has been named to return from injury, dropping Willison to the bench. Grant Anderson has a knee injury and will be replaced by Jesse Arthars. Shibasaki will start at centre. Karapani has been omitted from the squad.
SuperCoach Analysis
There is plenty of unease around the performances of Keano Kini, however I will be holding. He looked good late on against the Dragons and can score a heap of points in a short space of time. On another day, he scores another 45 points so I am recommending patience. Fa’asuamaleaui is playing limited minutes and doesn’t look great at the moment. I will be looking to buy again later in the season once his normal role and output return. Arama Hau will be one of the best cash cows of the season. Beau Fermor will be very cheap soon.
Usual suspects appeal here – Walsh, Haas & Carrigan.
Sharks vs Warriors – Sunday 2:00PM at Ocean Protect Stadium

Sharks
Briton Nikora is listed on the reserves as he looks to return from a broken nose. Hiroti has been named on the extended bench as he returns from injury.
Warriors
Vaimauga comes onto the bench for the injured Mitch Barnett, who is expected to miss around a month with a broken thumb.
Supercoach Analysis
Trindall has looked really good, but has been filling the stat sheet. Historically, he has not been relevant while Hynes is fit and it is hard to recommend him despite the strong start to 2026. Iro, Hynes & Brailey are guns and can be considered in all teams. I would be looking to do Colquhoun to Fonua-Blake for around 100k soon as he appears to have bottomed out.
Tuaupiki is someone I am considering this week as I look for an exit on a few of the underperforming CTW cheapies. Jackson Ford looks to be a beneficiary of the Barnett injury as he should again receive an uptick in minutes. Halasima was very poor on the weekend but retains his spot. He needs a strong showing to retain the starting spot moving forward.
Raiders vs Sharks – Sunday 4:05PM at McDonald Jones Stadium

Knights
Trey Mooney starts, with Pasami Saulo moving to the bench.
Raiders
Josh Papalii returns from suspension, which sees Smithies move to the bench. Matt Timoko is part of the 6 man bench, though it appears he is able to negotiate with other clubs from now.
Supercoach Analysis
Trey Mooney is likely to be a sell soon unless he puts up another strong score this week. I have some interest in Lucas and Sharpe in the coming weeks.
Sasagi has been a revelation, and has always been a strong SC scorer when given good minutes. He is averaging 39 in pure base which is massive for a CTW and is averaging 13 in TBs per game. On top of this, the new rule changes mean he is far more likely to get try assists to his winger. If this wasn’t enough – he is also dual CTW/2RF. I am buying this week. Hudson Young is a gun and shows no signs of slowing down from the form of last year. Noah Martin still has a bit of cash to make.
Eels vs Wests Tigers – Monday 4:05PM at CommBank Stadium

Eels
Iongi has been ruled out for 8 weeks, which sees Joash Papalii come in at fullback. Charlie Guymer joins the bench replacing Matt Doorey who has ruptured his ACL. Jack de Belin comes onto the extended bench.
Wests Tigers
Tigers are 1-17 with Bunty Afoa added to the extended bench.
Supercoach Analysis
Minimal SC interest at Parramatta currently. Joash Papalii is a watch for this week, then could be a downgrade option at 5/8.
Adam Doueihi looks fantastic and is passing the eye test, despite not looking completely fit. Pearce-Paul and May are also players I am watching at the Tigers.
