Our NRL SuperCoach Round 9 team analysis breaks down team list changes, cash cows, trade targets and key insights for every game.

Bulldogs vs Cowboys – Friday 6:00PM at Accor Stadium

Bulldogs

Kikau is out with a pec injury, which sees Sitili Tupouniua come into the run on side. Marcelo Montoya drops to the 6 man bench, with Tuala preferred on the wing.

Cowboys

Zac Laybutt comes in on the wing for Taulagi. Nanai has again been named to start, however we could see a late change with Thomas Mikaele coming in as we did last week.

SuperCoach Analysis

No real interest at the Bulldogs. Preston is obviously very good, though there is mail that he is battling a double AC joint injury in both shoulders. This coupled with Origin looming (where I expect he is selected) makes him hard to recommend now. Sua will be a popular cheapie with a BE of -18, though I will be looking elsewhere at this stage.

Luki, Purdue & Drinkwater are still good/great options. Nanai will be cheap in a few weeks if you back him to regain previous seasons form (and role) Chester will be ripe for a sale soon, though there is no rush on this due to his great scoring.

Dolphins vs Storm – Friday 8:00PM at Suncorp Stadium

Dolphins

Jake Averillo is out with a hand injury, which sees Trai Fuller named at centre (after playing there last week despite being named at #6) Brad Schneider starts at 5/8. Morgan Knowles starts at lock. Keeley, Bostock and Donoghoe have all been named on the bench or reserves, so keep an eye on final teams.

Storm

Tyran Wishart starts at halfback, covering Hughes who enters concussion protocols. Hugo Peel has been named to make his debut on the wing. Chan, Clarke and Loiero have paid the price for the Storms poor run, with all being dropped to the bench. Blore, MacDonald and Lisati start in their places.

SuperCoach Analysis

Trai Fuller is interesting, especially if he can gain dual status by Round 12. Finefeuiaki has a base power average of 69 this season, which is at the upper end of elite. Farnworth is a must have, as I say every week.

Lisati back is welcome news for owners, otherwise I would be looking to buy this week as he is expected to make 150k over the next fortnight thanks to a BE of -75. I am contemplating a Faalogo sale this week, though it makes me nervous considering their very soft run to come and Rd 12 bye coverage.

Titans vs Raiders – Saturday 3:00PM at Cbus Super Stadium

Titans

AJ Brimson returns at centre, which moves de Groot to the extended bench. Chris Randall returns at lock.

Raiders

Simi Sasagi retuns from injury, however will start in the back row after Hosking (concussion) and Martin (leg) were ruled out. With Hudson Young still suspended for another week, Mariota starts in the back row. Chevy Stuart comes onto the bench.

SuperCoach Analysis

Kini, Jayden Campbell and Arama Hau are the best options at the Titans. Both Tino and Fermor have bottomed out and could become interesting if they can show a bit more this weekend. Ones to watch. Faeamani is set to make more cash for owners after scoring well recently.

Sanders has established himself as a low end play option this season, though will be peaking in value soon. Sasagi is in the must have pile, while Tapine seems to be increasing output each week.

Eels vs Warriors – Saturday 5:30PM at CommBank Stadium

Eels

Parra are 1-19.

Warriors

Metcalf comes onto the bench after returning from a hamstring injury. Leiataua and Barnett are both entering concussion protocols, which sees Pomey and Stowers-Smith come into the side.

SuperCoach Analysis

Saxon Pryke looks a good downgrade option at FRF, with a BE of -30 and Parra decimated with injuries. I have some interest in Jack Williams, however with the Eels missing the first major bye round, he is one to consider from Round 13.

Jackson Ford is putting up silly numbers, and I am just going to have to bite the bullet and bring him in. Despite the $784k price tag, he looks to be value considering he has a base power average of 77. That is more than most players in the game average overall. In all games where Ford has played over 70 mins, he has scored 100+ (5/5) The Warriors have the bye next week, so factor that into any purchases.

Roosters vs Broncos – Saturday 7:35PM at Allianz Stadium

Roosters

Roosters are 1-19.

Broncos

Walsh returns at fullback, moving Perham to the extended bench. Carrigan returns from suspension, moving Willison to the back row, who is covering for Piakura. Arthars and Tawha are part of the bench.

SuperCoach Analysis

Tedesco, Nawaqanitawase & Walker are still the targets here. Crichton is someone to consider post their Round 12 bye if he isn’t selected for Origin and provided he gets through a bit more work on the field.

Like the Roosters, the Broncos also miss Round 12 – making recommendations hard. I still like Willison, though would be avoiding most Broncos due to Origin commitments (Walsh, Carrigan) and injury (Haas)

Knights vs Rabbitohs – Sunday 2:00PM at McDonald Jones Stadium

Knights

Ponga and Best return from injury, while Marzhew returns from concussion. Sharpe moves to #6, which moves Sandon Smith to the bench. Dylan Lucas and Tyson Frizell both return.

Rabbitohs

Koloamatangi has been named to start in the back row, with Brandon Smith nursing a calf injury (bench). Adam Elliott is part of the extended bench.

Supercoach Analysis

Sharpe, Ponga & Lucas all come into consideration for me now with them all being at attractive prices, though the Knights missing Rounds 12 & 15 is problematic. Mooney has peaked in price and should be sold.

Tallis Duncan looks to be a great buy, even though he could be a part of the Blues squad for Origin 1. If you’ve gone this long without Latrell, there will be temptation to go without considering he will miss Round 12, 13, 15, 16 & 18 due to byes and Origin.

Sharks vs Tigers – Sunday 4:05PM at Ocean Protect Stadium

Sharks

McInnes starts at lock after a successful return last weekend. Nikora starts in the back row, with Burns moving to the bench.

Wests Tigers

Turuva will start at fullback, after Bula reinjured his shoulder last week. Skelton comes onto the wing. Tristian Hope starts at hooker, with Koroisau missing due to suspension. Pearce-Paul misses this game due to concussion, with Sukkar replacing him in the back row.

Supercoach Analysis

Iro, Hynes & Brailey are great options, though none will play Round 12. Fonua-Blake has bottomed out, however I would like to see more from him before recommending as a buy. Nikora is very cheap and has bottomed out in price, however I expect him to minutes share with Burns so will be a no go until that changes.

Doueihi continues to rack up the points. May and Twal are must haves, averaging 79 and 81 in base power alone respectively. The Tigers do miss Round 12, so factor that into your decision. Taylan May is one to watch over the coming weeks.

Panthers vs Sea Eagles – Sunday 6:15PM at CommBank Stadium

Panthers

Panthers are 1-19.

Sea Eagles

Nathan Brown comes in for Corey Waddell.

Supercoach Analysis

Edwards, Jenkins, McLean, Cleary, Papali’i and Yeo are your targets here. To’o put up a great score last week, though with Origin looming I would still be looking to avoid.

Koula, Hopoate & Olakau’atu are considerations.
