Broncos vs Eels – Suncorp Stadium
Currently the line is -12.5 which seems a bit big to me. Yes the Eels were terrible last week but the Broncos were also very poor. Of course there is the potential for a bounce back game for the Broncos and they should win but I expect Parramatta to have some sort of reaction after last week and think they can get within 2 converted tries. They have a good record in Brisbane too and won this match last year.

Warriors vs Raiders – Go Media Stadium
Warriors were very impressive last week and I thought Canberra showed glimpses of their best form. This is a tough road trip for Canberra but the Raiders won this last year. It’s a very tough one to pick but the Warriors like a grinding game at home and I slightly favour them in a reasonably low scoring affair.

Roosters vs Rabbitohs – Allianz Stadium
Roosters v Souths could be the game of the round. Especially with the chance of Alex Johnston breaking the try scoring record at Allianz. I’m sure Souths will go down that left side a lot and he’ll have opportunities. The Roosters right side defence was a shambles last week but Toia has been named to play and that will help a great deal in stopping the leaks on that side.If Toia wasn’t playing I’d be taking a lot of left side South Sydney players to score a try in an SGM. I do think they’ll still go down that side a lot but might not have as much joy now that Toia is back. I don’t want to get caught up too much in the South Sydney hype just yet as this could well be a bounce back spot for the Roosters.
For Alex Johnston to break the record and score 2+ tries you can get 3.20 but I think I’d want something closer to 4.00. You can get the same price of 3.20 for David Fifita to score 1+ try and I think this is much better value. I think he’ll see plenty of ball on that left edge and can come back to haunt the club he nearly joined but backflipped on. If he gets one on one with DCE then I’d fancy him.
