Sharks vs Bulldogs – Suncorp Stadium
Brailey is a big out for Sharks in this one and takes away a big part of their attack. It’s well documented that the Bulldogs have struggled for points and I think after Sharks suffering a poor loss last week and the Dogs off a 4 game losing streak that defence will be the focus here.

Rabbitohs vs Dolphins – Suncorp Stadium
This promises to be one of the games of the round. Both sides had good wins last week but I think Dolphins really looked like they were approaching a level close to what they are capable of. Souths still a little inconsistent so far but they beat the Dolphins in Rd 1. I think Dolphins get some revenge here

Wests Tigers vs Sea Eagles – Suncorp Stadium
Tigers have a number of key troops still missing in this one while Manly are rolling. It’s hard to pick against Manly but I think the line looks about right here. No bet.

Roosters vs Cowboys – Suncorp Stadium
Cowboys lost some attacking power for this one with Dearden and Luke out. It’s hard to oppose Roosters in current form but North QLD might still be good enough not to be blown off the park here. The prices in this one look about right.

Eels vs Storm – Suncorp Stadium
Parramatta are 2 from 2 in QLD this year but face a Melbourne side that had a rejuvenating 28 point win last week. I think this will be a much sterner test for Parramatta and I favour Melbourne in this one with them approaching full strength. Parramatta should improve on the hammering they copped v Melbourne in Rd 1 but I still think the match up will prove tough for them.

Titans vs Knights – Suncorp Stadium
Gold Coast played quite well v Roosters last week and were a tad unlucky at key moments in that game. Meanwhile Newcastle’s attack looks electric. It’s very hard to oppose Newcastle in a day game and I think they should win but it’s still a tricky game as Gold Coast are also a team that favours day games and playing in QLD. I think the prices look about right here.

Warriors vs Broncos – Suncorp Stadium
Warriors always get plenty of support in Brisbane for Magic Rd and Warriors are almost at full strength here while Brisbane are still missing some important players. The Warriors deserve favouritism here but not by much. I think a total in the 50s here is a bit too high in what should be a tight match up of finals type atmosphere.

Panthers vs Dragons – Suncorp Stadium
The line in this game is approaching 30 and rightly so given the mismatch here. In saying that a line this size seems too big to back the minus so I look at the Total mid 50s and think it looks too big. Penrith could put on a show if they want but I don’t expect them to concede more than a couple of tries. I think the Dragons after shipping so many points the last 2 weeks might have enough about them in their Captain’s 250th game to improve a bit defensively. If we see a scoreline like 40-12 the unders will still win and that’s what I’m favouring here.
