Thomas Jenkins – 41.1% ownership
He was on my list last week, but now he’s skyrocketed to the top of this week’s. Jenkins has solidified his spot in the Penrith backline, and this is the last week you’ll be able to grab him off the waiver wire—assuming your league is fair dinkum, of course. He scored 49 points in base alone last week, which is unreal. He’s definitely worthy of a first waiver pick.
Siua Wong – 39.1% ownership
In the same boat as Jenkins, Wong has nailed down that big-minute edge role at the Roosters and is a great waiver pick-up this week. He’s averaging 54.5, and I only see that number going up as he continues to improve. Not to mention, the 2RF position is a wasteland at the moment.
Leo Thompson – 40.4% ownership
Thompson’s ownership has dropped since his injury a few weeks ago. If you’re after a consistent FRF who can get you 50 points a week, Thompson is your man.
Thomas Cant – 14.6% ownership
Cant scored 88 in Round 3, including 70 in base points. This pick-up could go a few different ways—does he hold the edge spot until Dylan Lucas returns in a few weeks, or does he head back to the bench once Kai Pearce-Paul returns from suspension next week? It’s a risky waiver, but in the worst-case scenario, he’s a decent plug-and-play for this week.
Casey McLean – 26.7% ownership
McLean has rocketed back into relevance after the injury to Brian To’o. After his 3-minute game in Round 1 due to a head knock, he bounced back with scores of 72 and 66. He’s good enough to be in sides. With Penrith likely to improve, there will be plenty of attacking opportunities for him over the next month.
Tyrell Sloan / Moses Suli
I wouldn’t use a waiver on either of these two guys, but I’d pick them up as free agents if I was desperate for a CTW this week or looking for a cheeky AE play.
Parramatta are dog shit. Pick players versing them every week.
