Warriors Beat The Woeful Knights On Anzac Day: Game Review
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

Warriors 26 – Knights 12

Another good performance at home from the Wahs, dominated the dog shit Knights and continue on their good start to the season notching up their 5th win of the year. I thought their start was awesome given they lost Niukore in the second minute. Luke Metcalf was impressive early hitting the line with pace and creating opportunities for his outside men which included a nice line break for himself.

Jackson Ford arguably has the worst hands in the competition and he reminds me of the guy from the movie Friday Night Lights who gets flogged by his dad when he can’t hold the ball, but the big fella was able to catch the ball twice to go over for two first half meat pies, there’s nothing we like more than front rowers scoring four pointers.

The Knights are actual faeces. I could end it there but I’ll give my thoughts.

It’s baffling to me how poor this side is in attack boasting so many attacking weapons. It all stems from Kalyn Ponga’s lack of involvement. In the first few games he was playing as a first receiver and had his hands on everything and most people thought ‘wow Ponga and the knights are going to go to new level with this new dynamic attack’ and since then it’s been non existent. Why is their best player not getting involved?

Knights need to wake up to themselves ASAP and start winning games because they are playing terrible and hardly look like scoring a try, let alone winning footy games.
